These engineered systems also provide a playground for exploring new exotic states. Our primary focus is on devices based on only a few atoms of thick two-dimensional materials based on graphene, Mos2, phosphorene, and heterostructures. These promising new materials and related van der Waals heterostructures provide a platform for studying a variety of highly individual topological and correlated electronic quantum states. These devices have great potential for future quantum science applications such as novel bio and chemical sensors, photodetectors, etc. In addition, we develop DFT calculation and experimental setup as the magneto-optical transport at 7 Tesla and Low temperature.

Related publication:

Martyniuk, Oleh; Chaudhary, Vivek; Bartos, Miroslav; Laguta, Oleksii; Myers-Ward, Rachael, D KURT GASKILL, Paola BARBARA, Abdelouahad EL FATIMY, Petr NEUGEBAUER, Graphene quantum dot bolometer camera: practical approaches and preliminary results.
