Occupying the spectrum between microwave and infrared radiation, THz waves range from 0.1 to 10 terahertz and are notable for their distinct imaging possibilities. This overview introduces the fundamental aspects of THz imaging research.<\/p>\n<p>Advanced signal processing and image reconstruction algorithms play a key role in turning raw terahertz data into useful images for applications like skin cancer detection and dental imaging. In security and defense, terahertz imaging is vital for detecting concealed weapons, explosives, and screening packages non-invasively.
