IAP Physics Seminar Series will occur on\u00a0Tuesday 23 April 24, at 15:15<\/b>\u00a0at the UM6P campus (Ryad 8, 1st floor<\/strong>).<\/p>\n Abstract:<\/span><\/b><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n BKT vortices show bound pairs below transition temperature. Temperature increases, and other experimental and intrinsic disorder can affect the distribution of vortices. Introducing disorder in high temperature superconductor (HTS) cuprates affects the distribution of BKT vortices as well. The modification in the vortex distribution controls different superconducting properties. There are several HTS, where superconductivity and weak ferromagnetism coexist. Any intrinsic spin structure in those superconductors is responsible for ferromagnetic ordering; eg. RuO6 octahedra in ruthenocuprates. To understand the effect on the distribution both experimental and theoretical works have been carried out. Current-voltage (IV) characteristics at zero external magnetic field measured to quantify the effect of disorder.<\/p>\n Biography<\/span><\/b><\/span>:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n Souvik Haldar is a dedicated researcher in the field of Material Science and Engineering, currently serving as a Principal Project Scientist in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, New Delhi, India. He holds a Ph.D. in Physics from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, where he conducted research on the Disordered layered structure coupling effects in superconductors under the supervision of Prof. Ajay Kumar Ghosh. He obtained his M.Sc. in Physics from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, India and completed his B.Sc. (Hons) from Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandira, Belur Math, India.<\/p>\n
