However, challenges such as Klein tunneling and the absence of a band gap remain significant hurdles. Overcoming these obstacles is essential to fully realize the potential of 2D materials and is driving ongoing research into approaches such as heterostructures and manipulation of electron transport. In this regard, we have studied the transport properties of bilayer graphene exposed to a magnetic field and connected to monolayer graphene on the left and right sides. This system resulted in the zigzag boundaries of the junction, labeled ZZ1 and ZZ2.

Biography:
Nadia Benlakhouy obtained her bachelor’s degree in 2018 from Faculty of Sciences, Chouaib Doukkali University, El Jadida. She continued her academic journey by obtaining her master’s degree in Mathematical Physics in 2020 from Faculty of Sciences, Mohammed V University, Rabat. Driven by her passion for theoretical physics, she obtained her Ph.D. in the same field in 2023 from Faculty of Sciences, Chouaib Doukkali University, El Jadida. Throughout her academic career, Dr. Benlakhouy has focused on investigating the behavior of various 2D materials, such as graphene multilayers, twisted graphene, borophene, and hybrid systems, under the influence of different constraints, including electric, laser, and magnetic fields · · ·.

Currently, Dr. Benlakhouy’s research interests revolve around the study of the diverse properties of graphene, silicene, phosphorene, and Dirac/Weyl semimetals. Her work will contributes to a better understanding of the fundamental physics underlying these materials and their potential applications in various fields such as electronics, optoelectronics, and quantum computing.

Localization: Ryad 8, 1st Floor.

Teams Link:

<a style="color: #0000ff;" title="Original URL: https://teams.microsoft.com/l/meetup-join/19%3ameeting_NWQyN2FlNDMtMzAwMy00M2ViLTg5OTQtZmE0YTUwZjA1MDE4%40thread.v2/0?context=%7b%22Tid%22%3a%2239626157-a047-4689-87a2-6fa645cb5cb7%22%2c%22Oid%22%3a%22d3bbb26e-fd14-45df-84fa-adbf01366dcc%22%7d.
