The Chinese Academy of Sciences\u00a0(CAS) believes in international cooperation to jointly expand the frontiers of human knowledge and capabilities. The innovation academy for microsatellites of CAS (short Microsat) carries this idea into the domain of space science and technology cooperation. In my talk I will give an overview of the achievements of Microsat in the past two decades and present models for international cooperation with universities and research laboratories<\/span><\/u><\/b><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Dr. Gamgami holds a master\u2019s degree in aerospace engineering from RWTH Aachen (2003) and a PhD in Astrophysics from the University of Heidelberg (2007). With a distinguished career spanning various senior roles, he has showcased versatility and expertise across the aerospace and space exploration sectors, including space transportation, exploration, and Earth observation. His professional journey includes serving as a systems engineer, program manager, bid and acquisition manager, and Chief Strategy Officer at a space-focused SME. Beyond his professional commitments, Dr. Gamgami is an accomplished author and sought-after speaker. He is deeply passionate about empowering businesses and agencies in emerging spacefaring nations, helping them make strides in the space sector. In June 2024, he joined the Innovation Academy for Microsatellites, part of the distinguished Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) as Vice Director of the Key Laboratory for Satellite Digitisation Technology, further broadening his impact on the global space industry.<\/span><\/p>\n
